Short bio: 

Hi, I’m Staci. I am a Vermont native who moved to Charlotte, NC in 2014 and currently reside in Statesville, NC. I am a mother, partner, doula, educator, advocate, and ally and am truly honored to be supporting clients in North Carolina.

The first birth I ever witnessed was in 2000 at the age of 13 and I was hooked! Watching my baby sister enter this world changed my world in all the right ways. Eventually, the birth of my oldest child in 2010 inspired me, even more, to follow my calling of birth work and in 2011, I began my journey as a doula with DONA! After the birth of my two younger children in 2015 and 2016, I began to actively support clients in their desired birth space, full time. I am a strong believer in birthers, babies, and the inherent wisdom and instinctual capabilities within all of us to give birth in the way that suits us best. This means that no matter how you decide to give birth, I will be by your side, supporting you through your journey. I will hear you, respect you, and encourage you, 110%.

Throughout my journey supporting clients of all cultures, beliefs, races, religions, and more, I can say that I have grown as a person and as a birth worker. The birth of your child is an experience you will never forget and in understanding this, I am so honored to be invited into your space. I will never replace your partner, but rather help them support you. Your partner brings love and history with them, and I bring skills and experience. Together, we create a beautiful support system for you all the while I additionally support your partner. I am so excited to meet you and the support system you’re bringing with you into your birth space.

My office is in downtown Cornelius, right off of exit 28 on I-77 or I can come to you, whichever is most convenient. I offer virtual and in-person consultations free of charge.

NOTE: I am NOVANT “approved” to support you without counting as a visitor and can support in the OR in the event of a planned or unplanned cesarean birth.
