Hi, I’m Marie McKenzie, also known as Dr. Soul — a holistic practitioner specializing in subconscious reprogramming, soulful healing, and nurturing the family dynamic as a full-spectrum doula.
I’ve been walking this path since 2022, and I’ve deeply fallen in love with female anatomy and feminine energy. I take pride in sharpening my knowledge and staying current in maternal health studies. In my work, I blend the scientific and spiritual, honoring the sacred transitions families move through during pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
I help nurture the familial foundation of my clients, ensuring both parents are emotionally, mentally, and physically prepared to welcome the new soul entering their lives. Within the safe space we co-create, you’ll feel held, informed, and empowered as you navigate your birth and postpartum journey. I’m here to advocate for you and ensure that you — and your support system — understand your rights and feel confident making informed decisions.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition Science from North Carolina State University, where I studied maternal and infant nutrition, psychology, and life sciences. I am a Certified Doula, Placenta Specialist, and a Body Ready Method (BRM) Pro. Through BRM, I’ve studied the connectivity and alignment of the human body and provide body-based guidance and recovery support throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
As a practitioner, I meet each client exactly where they are and approach my work with deep intentionality, ensuring you receive not just what you asked for — but what you didn’t know you needed.
