I became a labor doula in 2011 and completed my CAPPA labor doula certification in 2013. As of October 2015 I have attended around 50 births. Being a doula, my heartbeat is for woman to be educated in relation to the birth process, empowered by their birth experience and have access to high quality care in which they are autonomous.
I have always had a love for pregnant women and birth. As a high school student I was able to attend my first birth and was hooked. I went to college, graduated and began my career teaching elementary school. Although I loved teaching and being with children, I found myself constantly drawn back to birth. Through the process of asking questions and having conversations with many women in the birth community while simultaneously doing a lot of my own research, I became shocked at the culture of birth in America. In my research I found that many women are not being fully or properly informed of their birth options and are not always supported by their care providers in their choices. This has led to outcomes/experiences women are disappointed with.
As a doula, my objective is to support you and your husband in the birth plan of your choosing. My goal is for you to be empowered through prenatal education, emotional, physical, and informational support as well as support you in various comfort measures during labor. I hope that as a result of this, both you and your husband will be satisfied with your birth experience. All women deserve the birth of their choosing that is best for themselves and their babies. I would love to support you in attaining the birth you desire!

BIO: My name is Helen Herzig, and I am the Aussie Doula. I am a mum to five children aged from 5 to 16. I am originally from Australia and have been living here in Charlotte for the last nine years, and feel fortunate to call it home. I have had five natural births, both in the home and hospital setting, and breast feed all five of my children. My path to becoming a doula was quite an accidental one. I witnessed the birth of my nephew 17 years ago and was struck with the amazing capability and power of birth. I then became the go-to person when friends were wanting a maternal support in addition to their husbands or partners. I didn’t even know what a doula was. Then a few years ago, another dear friend asked if I would support her as her doula. It was a pivotal moment when I decided on her request that “you should be doing this for other moms, you are a natural”. So began my path to my doula career. I have been serving families in the Charlotte area for the last 3 years. I have attended all kinds of births and feel that a mother should be supported in her birth journey, whatever that may be. I have served families in natural, epidural, VBAC and caesarean births. I am familiar with the area hospitals, and have a great working relationship with many providers. I would love to accompany you along in your birth journey.

My passion for supporting women and all things childbirth has been growing steadily since 2012 after watching a documentary on the subject. I find the strength and perseverance of laboring women to be fascinating. Having endured labor and childbirth myself with wonderful doulas by my side, I understand the importance of continuous labor support. I also understand the need for childbirth education and wholeheartedly believe this information should be readily available to the masses. It is my desire to bring these services to Charlotte, NC and the surrounding areas. I enjoy creative writing, reading, childbirth education and being an advocate for women and their partners during the birth process. I am a lover of simplicity and strive to implement this into my daily life. I believe the ability to trust one's body is the greatest gift you can give yourself.

I have been married to my wonderful husband for ten years, we are the proud parents of three amazing children. We are originally form San Francisco California and moved here following our second child's birth.Growing up I dreamed of becoming a Nurse and helping those in need. As time went on my path led me in a different direction professionally but I was still drawn to the love of the medical field and birth. I had never heard of a doula and a neighbor shared this amazing opportunity, I was instantly in love. I immediately started my research and identified my passion. It brings me so much joy to provide the information and support for a new families to be able to experience the birth they desire and to provide quality loving care to their newborn.

period. As a non-judgmental supportive doula who understands the trials and challenges you are facing I can
assist in making your birth experience wonderful and the transition to parenthood easy and stress free. As an educator, Mentor, Cheerleader and Supporter I will fulfill many roles as needed. I believe that birth is natural, normal and safe and know that women have choices in childbirth – often more choices than they realize.

I am a professionally trained labor doula and mother of three active, beautiful children. When I started planning my career goals, I actually planned on being a teacher. In fact, for four years I taught high school and loved it. Throughout the years as I started welcoming my own children, each with their own unique birth, I developed a new passion: a passion for birth and pregnancy. The births of my children were each very different. Two of them were in hospitals (one with an OB and one with a midwife), one in a birthing center. One birth was an induction. Two of them involved epidurals and one un-medicated.
Each birth had its own unique set of circumstances and experiences, but through them all I learned one important lesson. I learned that the best birth experience is one where the mother is empowered and supported by those around her, enabled to make informed decisions that she feels are best for her and her family. In my years teaching high school I realized that many young women fear birth and pregnancy. It is seen as a medical procedure through which you receive a baby. However it is all so much more beautiful than that. My passion as a doula is fueled by my desire to encourage and support women and families as they welcome precious babies through the empowering process of birth.
I believe that birth is a beautiful part of life and something that should not be feared, but embraced. While I do believe that un-medicated birth is preferable (and an achievable option for most women), I believe that all women should be supported in their ideal birth preferences. We each have histories and traditions that effect our comforts and preferences. As a doula, I believe that it is my job to listen to your preferences and do my very best to enable those to become a reality. As a result I fully support many different types of birth ranging from fully natural assisted homebirths to planned elective c-sections or inductions. I am there to serve and support you and your wishes. While there are circumstances that can come up unexpectedly and require an adjustment to the plan, I am present and active to assist you in being able to weigh options and empower you to make decisions that are as close to your ideal birth as medically possible.

Short bio: After 10 years of living in Charlotte, I have officially called Charlotte home. My passion for birth doula support and empowering women with childbirth education really began with my journey towards motherhood in 2010. Never did I realize the amazing power and the united spirit of women than through the intimate time of the pregnancy and labor process.
I personally had two wonderful birth experiences at Carolina Community Maternity Center in Fort Mill, SC with the professional midwives there. It was like nothing I had experience before…the physical presence, the emotional support, the mental challenge and focus, and the tiny person I held at the end…all the while knowing that women for ages have been doing the same. What an amazing privilege. It was because of this that I desired to educate women (and their partners) through the Bradley Method of natural childbirth education as well as to pursue my recent dream of becoming a birth doula.
I have been teaching the Bradley Method to couples in the Charlotte area since 2012.
I believe that there is nothing more important in labor to a mother than having someone next to her who she trusts and feels secure with…someone who believes in her. I believe in YOU! I believe that you can have the most amazing experience into motherhood that you have imagined. Your body was designed for this purpose and it is with purpose that we enter into labor. I will support you in your birth plan desires. I will support your partner and encourage him to be equally a part of the birth team. I am passionately committed to childbirth education and desire for you to have a very clear understanding of all components of the labor process and post-birth process. I will be available to support you from the time labor starts through the time that you baby arrives and afterward for postpartum support. What an amazing journey this is…congratulations.

I love feeling empowered! Having my children gave me a new sense of my power and my abilities. The support given to me from my husband, family, friends and doulas helped me have labor experiences I would be happy to repeat. My goal as a doula is to support mother and family in the choices they have made for their labor day. Uplifting a woman’s own strength and needs at a time when she can be most venerable or unsure is my goal.

Hi! My name is Krista Mohrmann, and I've been passionate about mommies and babies since I was a little girl playing with my dolls. When I grew up I discovered that I wanted to help them both in a real and meaningful way. I did research on pregnancy, birth practices, breastfeeding, the role of nutrition, labor and delivery stories ... and I thought my way of helping would be through becoming a nurse midwife. However, my path to become a doula became crystal clear when I needed to stop my nursing training to become a mommy, and I am so very happy I did!
I grew up in both California and Washington State, and have lived in many places across the country, both east and west coasts. I've always called myself a "bit of a gypsy" because of my moving, but when I married I knew we would be settling down and calling Charlotte home. I've lived in the greater Charlotte area now for 4 years and I love it.
I love the people, I love the culture, I love the weather.
The births and postpartum families I have assisted have taught me so much hands-on, and CAPPA helped teach me the skills and book knowledge a doula needs. I would love to put that experience to use and help you bring your little one into this world, and help you be confident in being a parent to this new life.
CAPPA trained in both Labor and Postpartum.
Greater Charlotte area- Denver, Lincolnton, Huntersville, Mooresville, Cornelius, Statesville, Davidson, Charlotte. (Generally a 1 hour radius from Denver/Huntersville)

Having a baby is no small feat! It is a monumental experience in a woman’s life that will forever change her. The process is filled with many emotions and physical changes. It is a powerful, profound experience and change that every woman will experience in her own unique way. A doula’s role is to support a woman on her special journey. The doula empowers her, guides her through all the information and choices regarding pregnancy, birth and motherhood. The doula honors the woman’s wishes and decisions and helps her create a vision for herself, her baby and her family. The doula is there for her and her partner, walking the path alongside them with honest, caring and non judgmental support of their choices. The doula knows that every woman has what it takes to birth her baby and become the mother she is meant to be.
BIO: Hi, I’m Cady! It is my passion and purpose to serve women as a birth and postpartum doula. This passion was kindled for me when I became a mother to my own children, and has grown over the years while remaining active in different aspects of birth and prenatal care. My own birth experiences were as unique as my children themselves. One baby born in the middle of the night at a hospital during a huge snowstorm and one at my home on a calm and sunny morning. Both of these births were benefited by my skills as a student of yoga. I have been practicing yoga for many years and became certified to teach in 2002 and in 2003 trained and certified in prenatal and postpartum yoga. My personal practice helps me to flow through the challenges and ups and downs that life presents. It helps me to stayed focused on what is most important. I have a deeper awareness of my self, a stronger connection and knowing of my mind, body and spirit because of yoga. I have been told by many that my presence is calming, grounding and peaceful. I am a loving wife, happy mama to two crazy, awesome, fun boys and a few sweet, furry creatures. My spirit has always been filled with the call of the journey and a bit of wanderlust. Because of that I’ve lived in many places, but have called Charlotte, NC home since 2010. I support families of all kinds, shapes, sizes and circumstances and all types of births including hospital, home, birth center, natural, medicated, VBAC or surgical. I would love to hear from you! Contact me for a free consultation or come enjoy one of my weekly prenatal yoga classes at Baby and Co., Charlotte’s beautiful new birth center.

bio: My first birth was difficult and traumatic, but having the support of a doula made a life changing difference for me. In those postpartum months afterwards I began researching all things birth and listening to the stories of other mothers. This not only helped heal the birth trauma I had experienced, it enabled me to realize a passion that was buried deep within me. In talking to mothers I noticed a recurring theme of their births being this rite of passage, a pivotal point in their journey that seemed to really set the tone in their mothering experiences. What was even more interesting is how each mother seemed to remember every detail of their births…what was said, what was done to them, and how they were treated. In reflecting on my own birth, I came to realize that the doula support I received was crucial and truly enabled me to still be fully supported even in a birth that was less than ideal. It became clear to me that I needed to channel my passion for empowering birthing women through doula work. In 2010 I trained with DONA and began attending births shortly thereafter. My next three children were born peacefully at home. Their births were incredibly healing and such beautiful spiritual transformations. My hope is that every woman in my care experiences the same love and support that I felt during these labors. I believe with all of my heart that our bodies work and birth works. We were made to grow, birth, and feed our babies. Birth is a normal and natural process, not a pathological problem to be solved. Bringing forth life is a beautiful and transformative rite of passage, as well as a life changing experience that women will carry with them for their entire lives. Every mother needs non-judgmental support and to feel safe and empowered. I will support you in your choices and work hard to hold space for you during your pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum.

I am a Labor/Birth Assistant. I received my training through DONA International, which is the oldest, largest, and respected doula associations. I am a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, which you don’t find here often. I have been married to my awesome husband for 10 years. We have four handsome boys aged from three to six; three of which are triplets! We conceived all of our children through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). During my four years of fertility challenges, I was able to guide a number of women through their fertility challenges by giving advice, sharing my experiences, and offering support. I never thought, what seemed like, my “misfortune” would help give someone the hope and confidence they needed to communicate to their doctor and to move forward emotionally. To this day, I am sought for information and advice regarding conception for the fertility challenged. Becoming a Birth Doula, was another stepping stone to inform, encourage, empower, and support you during one of the most joyous times of your life. I want to be the calming presence during your labor and delivery whether it’s your first child or fourth.
When I’m not researching “all things birth”, I love bike riding and hiking with my family! I enjoy playing games that involve teams. For me, playing sports such as football and softball are so much better than watching it on television. Also, enjoying a good movie while drinking coffee with my husband is how I unwind for the evening.
We should never consider ourselves equal to our male companions because there is something that only we can do…Give Birth! I believe that every healthy soon-to-be mom has a choice on how she should labor and give birth! Our bodies are designed for it. Emotionally and physically, we may not know what is going on with our bodies when we labor, but our bodies do! Being respectful of one’s body is the best avenue to take. During labor, interferences can inhibit labor. Dr. Michel Odent says it best… “When you consider birth as an involuntary process involving old, mammalian structures of the brain, you set aside the assumption that a woman must learn to give birth. It is implicit in the mammalian interpretation that one cannot actively help a woman to give birth. The goal is to avoid disturbing her unnecessarily.” Your birth, your way!
I am a wife and mother of three with over 10 years of experience in educating and supporting mothers in breastfeeding, childbirth, and nutrition. I am a La Leche League Leader, ToLabor Professional Trained Doula, and Birth Photographer.
Although my husband and I prepared for childbirth through Bradley Method Childbirth classes and a significant amount of reading, our first two children were born by cesarean section. With a knowledgeable and supportive care provider and doula for my third birth, I was able to have a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). Choosing a birth location that supports your needs and desires as well as a knowledgeable and supportive primary care provider is one of the most important decisions you can make that will affect the choices that you have in labor and the outcome of your birth.
My own experiences and struggles have given me a passion to help other mothers create the best opportunity for a successful natural childbirth. It is my goal to help each couple understand their options and choices, to create a loving and supportive environment where both parents feel that their desires are being heard and respected, and provide encouragement and evidence-based information along the way.

Training/Certifications: Certified Labor Doula; Certified Childbirth Educator; Certified Lactation Educator;
Certified Postpartum Doula; Certified Lactation Counselor
Biography: I am first and foremost the mother of two wonderful children. It was the birth of my own children
that started me down this path of education and support during the childbearing year. I started my initial training in 2001 as a childbirth educator and since then have been certified not only as a childbirth educator, but also a labor doula, lactation educator and postpartum doula through CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association) and a lactation counselor through ALLP (Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice) and am currently working on certification in programs for fitness and nutrition during pregnancy and postpartum.
Since beginning my journey, I have worked with many different families during their pregnancy and labors. These births have included some very long, difficult labors; short, intense labors; unplanned and scheduled
cesareans; successful VBAC’s and twins. I have provided support for both un-medicated and medicated births. I have experience in home, hospital and birth center births as well as excellent working relationships with care providers at many locations in the area.
I also serve as a faculty member for CAPPA in the labor doula, postpartum doula and lactation educator
programs. I am an Advisor for Charlotte Doulas.
I live in the country with my supportive husband of over 20 years, our 2 kids and our cats and dogs. We enjoy many outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and biking. I am also an avid reader and a hobby photographer.
Philosophy: I believe that given the evidence, many women would choose to have an un-medicated birth. I
believe that given the proper education and support it is a goal that most women can achieve. It is something that is done in almost all other parts of the world. Unfortunately, the United States lives in a state of "cultural warping of childbirth," where women's belief in their own inherent ability to give birth naturally has been robbed of them due to over-medicalization of birth and an unrealistic view of birth as portrayed in movies, magazines and television. I do believe there is a time and place for every intervention and am thankful for the availability of these technologies when they are needed. I also know that there are many personalities, belief systems and circumstances that lead women to choose to have interventions and I feel that those women also need labor support. Everyone needs a doula!

I am a wife to a wonderful husband and a mother of two beautiful children. Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, I currently reside in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was my journey of pregnancy and birth of my first child that started me down the path to becoming a birth professional. Both of my children were born at home with a midwife; it was through that experience I saw how wonderful pregnancy, labor and delivery was and how incredible our bodies are to bring these new little people into the world! I also learned how important it is for mothers to have a strong support system that will provide sound information and encouragement throughout the entire process and afterward. I chose to be a birth professional out of my passion for moms, babies and the miracle of birth and to provide a solid support system to moms and their partners. I am a CAPPA certified labor doula.
In addition to Birth Support, I also offer Birth Photography Services. I absolutely love taking pictures, but more than that, I love capturing life changing moments. I take pictures in a way that tells a story and captures life, raw and unedited, in all of it's natural beauty. This is why I love photographing a birth.

Postpartum doula info:
When I gave birth to my first 3 children my husband and mother both worked full time and they were unable to provide as much help as I would have liked. My mother was able to come and stay with me for a few days after my 4th child was born and I was able to spend memorable time getting to know my newborn as well as introducing her to her big sister and brothers in a calm, relaxing way without worrying about what I was going to feed them for lunch or when I would have time to do the laundry. I felt like a queen! Twenty six years later, I still have such positive memories of that time. I also spent many years providing prenatal and postpartum support and education on a full time basis in a public health setting. I have had much training in all things postpartum including breastfeeding, postpartum emotions, newborn care and early parenting. I am a true believer in the concept of mothering the mother.
Parenting is an amazing and yes, let's be honest, some days exhausting journey! In days gone by, new parents were surrounded by family, friends and neighbors helping out in numerous ways. These days, with some families living quite a distance from each other and everyone having such busy lives, new parents are often left on their own. Although this is a wonderful time for family bonding and getting to know your new baby, an extra pair of hands can be invaluable! Not having to worry about household tasks and having someone knowledgeable and supportive available when needed will allow new parents to concentrate on the more important tasks like getting to know their newborns, as well as getting much needed rest!
Services: tailored to fit needs of family including light housework, light meal preparation, running errands, caring for siblings, breastfeeding education, support and resources, postpartum emotional support and resources. Basic infant care education available if needed (diapering, bathing, etc.)
Training: NWAHEC lactation educator training; parenting education training through NC Maternal Care Coordination/Baby Love Program; NC Child passenger safety training
Areas served: Concord, Kannapolis, Mooresville, Statesville, Huntersville, Charlotte and surrounding areas
Short bio: I'm a trained birth doula and midwifery student who found myself immersed in the world of birth culture during my first pregnancy in 2012. When we welcomed our son in 2014 and both births were such a positive experience - I want that for all moms! I don't believe in the rather common “It’s just one day, you can get through it” attitude – every woman I've met has strong feelings around their birth experience and the memories last a lifetime. I feel that education and support are absolutely the best thing parents need during their transition into parenthood.

Hello! My name is Fametta Darling and I come to this work after years in more academic shoes. My background is in Project Management, but after experiencing the birth of my son, I knew that my real passion was the hands-on work of serving birthing families as a holistic doula and childbirth educator. As a doula and birth worker, I offer holistic care for your pregnancy, birth and postpartum period; physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional elements are upheld and given space during this transformative time, to ensure a positive and empowering birth experience.
I believe that the process of human childbirth is a normal physiological process perfectly designed by nature to bring babies into the world. It is an instinctive, primal experience that has its own rhythm and pace which should be respected and honored. Women should have as much control as possible in determining their care, and should be encouraged to be active participants in decision-making and self-care. When informed, supported and encouraged to follow their own instincts, women can be active givers of birth rather than passive receivers of birth technology. Childbirth, when experienced in this way, has the potential to be a transformative event; women who take responsibility for their births and give birth to their babies under their own power, emerge from the experience empowered, with a new sense of their own capabilities. My philosophy emphasizes personalized care for each mother’s unique labor and delivery. It is my goal to help foster confidence in the mother and her ability to give birth.
I am also a proud and constant ally of the LGBTQA - identifying members of the birthing community.

I’ve been passionate about childbirth for as long as I can remember. As a young girl and later a teenager, I was given the opportunity to attend two of my siblings’ births. I watched my mother — in awe as she exhibited such strength and grace during the birthing process. I knew from then on that I would never get enough of witnessing and playing a small part in the beautiful miracle of new life as it enters this world. I am now married and have three precious children of my own. My oldest son was born with a severe congenital heart defect. Only half of his heart developed correctly, so he arrived fighting for his life and immediately needed the first of three open-heart surgeries in order to survive. After having two more surgeries before the age of three, he is now stable and doing remarkably well. My second pregnancy held another unique set of surprises as we soon discovered we would be having not one baby, but twins — a boy and a girl — to welcome into our family. With one medically fragile child, as well as twins to chase around, it has certainly been a wild, but fun, ride. When I’m not attending a birth or spending time with my crazy kiddos, I enjoy cooking, reading, and making special memories with my family.
As the first born in a family of six children – and now having three of my own – “mothering” has always come naturally to me. It is this strong instinct to nurture, meet both physical and emotional needs, and tend to the comfort of those under my care. I believe every birthing woman should be supported in this way. As a doula, my most important job is to “mother the mother.” While the birthing mother and her partner focus on the important work of bringing a new life into this world, a doula will keep her focus on the mother’s needs, desires, and emotional well-being. I believe the birth of your child is one of the most significant moments in your life. It is my goal to help that experience be as smooth and positive as it can possibly be – helping to preserve your birth as a memory you can treasure forever.

Bio: My family and I moved from New York to Charlotte in 2011. When we were planning to move, I felt that I wanted to go back to work because my (then) youngest was going to be starting preschool (#3 was a surprise blessing!). So I had originally planned to go to nursing school, in the hope of becoming either a Labor & Delivery or Mother/Baby nurse. After beginning the process of applying to nursing school, I started really thinking about what I wanted to do – and I realized that while I have the utmost respect for nurses and believe their job to be irreplaceable, I wouldn't have the opportunity to really get to know patients and support them the way a doula can for her clients. One of my favorite parts of my job is that I get to know the couple or the family before the new baby is born, and I love to check in on them as their baby grows. I know that I would have missed that connection if I had decided to continue with nursing.
I have always been passionate about pregnancy and birth and have been the “go to” person for friends and family for years when it came to questions about what was normal, what to do in a certain situation, or just a friend needing someone to text during a 2 a.m. feeding. Becoming a doula has been the most wonderful realization of something I have always had inside of me, the desire to help women during this amazing time in their lives. I am particularly passionate for moms who are planning VBAC births (vaginal birth after Cesarean), those experiencing high risk pregnancies, and pregnancies after infertility or loss.
Philosophy: I truly believe that every pregnant woman (and their partner, if applicable) can benefit from having a doula during their pregnancy and birth. I believe women have the right to be surrounded by those they love and trust during the perinatal period. A woman's emotional support team is as vital to her pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience as her healthcare team. As a doula, I will be there to help support Mom and help ensure a safe and satisfying childbirth as she and her partner define it. I will not make medical decisions for my clients. Instead, as their doula I will help them understand both the benefits and drawbacks of common medical interventions. It is not for me to decide (nor judge) how she would like to manage her pain during labor. I am able to offer a range of options to make Mom more comfortable naturally, but I also respect a woman's right to choose to have medical pain relief if that's what she wants.
How many births do you attend a year? 12-15
I serve women birthing in these hospitals: CMC- Pineville, Presbyterian, Presbyterian – Huntersville,
CMC – Main, CMC – University, Presbyterian – Matthews, CaroMont Regional Medical Center (formerly
Gaston Memorial Hospital), Carolina Community Maternity Center
How many prenatal and postpartum visits do you provide? The number of prenatal visits depends on
when I am hired, and how often the client wishes to meet with me. I don't have a set number in my contract because I feel each couple is individual in their needs and I want to meet with them as they see fit, so that when I am needed in labor, they will be confident and comfortable with me when I arrive. I do at least one in- person postpartum visit, as well as checking in frequently via telephone, email or text.

Bio: When my parents raised me to follow my dreams, I did so quite literally. Since childhood I have had a keen interest in all things maternal, frequently dreaming of pregnancy and birth. After college, I made a list of all the things that I wanted to see and do in my life. Staring back at me from my bucket list was “be with a woman while she gives birth.” I realized that dream in 2005, facilitating the birth experience of my dear friends’ first child. The ecstatic moment of their son’s first breath convinced me of my calling to be a Doula. I was a Doula for 9 years before becoming a mom myself and my own birth completed the circle for me of divine birthing. I have two boys and each birth was very different. I would love to share my birth stories with you. I love chai lattes, flip flops, long hair, playing and coaching soccer, long runs when it is not too hot or too cold, camping and bonfires, poetry, dancing, smiling, playing with my dogs, positive energy, sushi, recycling, waterfalls, writing in my journal, hot yoga, talking, massaging, throwing pottery, giving every piece of my time and energy that I have to spare away, serving God and loving people.
Philosophy: Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! The first thing you need to know is that I am all about you and your baby. My birth philosophy is to help you have the best possible birth as YOU define it. As you embrace your pregnancy and eagerly await the arrival of your baby you are going to feel many emotions and have many visions about what will happen during your birth. I want your birth story to be peaceful, happy and a memory that you will love to share for years to come. I will help take away the fear of childbirth and work with you to channel your thoughts, energy and strength into a peaceful beginning for your baby. I am here to be your voice for advocating to your partner, family, nursing staff, hospital and anyone else about your opinions and preferences for your birth. I am here to educate you and your partner. Throughout your birth process I will take on Your vision and Your goals for your birth as my own and help you live them out. I will provide you with continuous support from the earliest signs of labor until your beautiful baby is wrapped safely in your arms. I will stay by your side until the baby is born, helping you in all the ways that you define you need support. In all the ways you need support that you are unaware of now, I will just be there understanding and comforting you all the way through the birth. Women helping women give birth is an ancient practice that still continues today and I would love to be your Doula.
